Running
Another beautiful morning run along the river in Rochester before back to back basketball games. The weather said it was 23ยฐF but felt much warmer in the sun.
Long break in between basketball games today and the sun was out so I took advantage of the nice paths by the river in Rochester. Wish I wouldnโt have eaten so much for lunch but oh well.
Found some plowed sidewalks and some not so plowed like this one today on my run. Since I was pressed for time today it just added to the work out trudging through this deep snow. ๐โโ๏ธ
The snow might not be as bad as people thought but running through it was a fun little challenge tonight. Also, probably shouldnโt have done it 20 min after eating dinner ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ ๐จ๏ธ
Busy middle of the day today with hockey so I had to force myself to get up early today or this run would most likely have never happened. Weather was good and I was feeling good but still worried about icy patches out there.
Well the instructions from Open Core Legacy Patcher worked well and I have my old 2013 MacBook Air now running Ventura. Havenโt installed anything else so we will see how it goes later.
With all the rain yesterday and sun I was hoping this trail was cleared to run on. It was good until I turned and was met with this. Unfortunately, I didnโt bring my skates ๐
After a busy day I found time to get out in this warm weather to run and watch the sunset. Glad more of our ice is melting away.
So far today: โ Early morning run (was regretting it when I woke up after a late night) โ Coffee and a couple min to relax โ Made Breakfast for the kids โ Watching son bowl
and this is only the start of the busy day
Early morning run helping a friend navigate some side streets in Eden Prairie. I think I regret staying up so late the night before but glad to get this done before the busy day.
Another sunny day and was glad to find exactly 30 min free in my schedule to run. I should have kept to the streets as the sidewalks are not quite clear yet. Possibly worse right now as the ice melts and freezes every day so it is super slick.
Finally some warm weather and less icy streets and paths. I did happen to find a trail to make my way down to Red Rock Lake and then did a little exploring. Would have tested the ice but looked a little too open water for me.
With the warmer weather yesterday I had to try to keep to the streets as much as possible as sidewalks were sheets of uneven ice. Longest run of the year which seems like a shock to say as it is already February.
Maybe I shouldnโt have tried to do two days in a row as I was feeling this run in my legs today. However, the sun was out again and I had some time to kill so I figured it would be good to get out again.
Easing back into things after 10 days with no activities. Starting February off with a short run to make sure everything is working and besides being more tired than normal all was well.
It is days like this I wish I could go outside and do something. Not that I feel bad as I have heard some get this worse but rational side of my brain is telling me that I know better and should not go outside for a run. I will just watch the birds instead. ๐
Chalk this up to a first as I had some time in between my sonโs late basketball games tonight so I decided to go on a run with no real running cloths (or lights) ๐.
Might have felt a little more sore running today than I thought after yesterdayโs spill. However, I stumbled upon this fun pond hockey rink.. Well done ๐๐
