Running
How could I pass up a chance to run with my youngest at her fun run.
All night she kept telling my wife the it would be fun because it was a βfun runβ it says fun. After the run she is questioning the fun part of it π ππ»ββοΈ
After the strange weather day we had I stepped out to run and it started sleeting so I gave it 5 min and thankfully it stopped. Glad I didnβt scrap as it was a much needed break after this week and caught the sun setting. ππ»ββοΈ
Another beautiful day to see the fall colors. Wasnβt the plan to get out today but glad I did. πππ»ββοΈ
Update: It has been rainy and cloudy since I finished my run π.
Passing the time running while my girls are at dance tonight. I am not sure where this change in weather came from but it was warmer and windier than expected. ππ»ββοΈ
These Fall days… I just wish this picture turned out like how I actually saw it with all the colors. However, this is what gets me out there.
After a couple days off I decided to put a couple miles in while my youngest was at her piano lesson. I was in no hurry and enjoyed the scenery. I wasnβt feeling bad before and still good after but my legs were doing some talking during this run.
Another Twin Cities Marathon in the books. Overall, I am happy with my time as I wasnβt slower than last year even though it was an interesting training cycle. Official time 3:38:48

Time to have some βfunβ ππ»ββοΈ
Most likely the last run till Sunday. Not sure why my hip started giving me some pain during the last half mile but hope it was just a fluke.
Stretching the legs out again as the day is getting near. As my friend said at this point the biggest objective of these last few runs is to not trip and fall π
I donβt think I am doing this taper thing right π«£ but it was a beautiful day and I had an hour to kill between meetings.
π Runningβ¦.
Had to motivate myself to get out there today but it was really a nice day out. With one week to go, a lots of curveballs of life plans have made me worried of my overall goal or fitness. However, so close now I will just get it done with no expectations.
Last day in Portland for a while so I needed to catch the sunrise one more time. Starting to get a little chilly out there but I will take this weather over the heat.
It was a nice cool morning today but not too much from a view perspective. Just trying to get some more miles in before the rest of the week might get crazy.
Here we go again...
After having a couple of my running friends twist my arm I finally signed up for the Twin Cities Marathon again. However, it wasnβt just because of their insistent pushing me to do it but I realized that due to COVID and not having a marathon in 2020, this is the 40th year of the Twin Cities Marathon. I documented how I ran it last year and before that it was 20 years ago. So it should have been the 40th running last year of the Twin Cities Marathon and that would have been even cooler to say I did it when I turned 40. However, that ship has mostly sailed but there is something neat about running both the 20th and 40th Twin Cities Marathon. I might not be as trained as last time as a lot has happened this year but I should be trained enough or at least better than I was at the 20th π.
11 days to go…
Rainy evening run along the water after a full day of in person meetings with the new team. This one felt good and has some speed to it. Must have been the cold rainy weather.
Didnβt go as planned but I am ok with it. Only time to start running was right after a dinner on a full stomach as my family was in town. Got about 3 miles in and my backpack broke. Then it obviously got dark which isnβt fun to run in the dark for so many miles but it is done and close to the plan.
