Running

Getting darker in the morning hours makes it slightly harder to get up and move. However, mornings really are the best time for me to get a run in.

Sun is setting behind a row of silhouetted trees, casting an orange glow over the landscape. The foreground features dense vegetation, and the sky transitions from light blue to warm tones.

Really feeling it in my legs today on this run after all that biking yesterday. However, it was good to start the day with this as it is back to work today.

Tall grasses stand still, shrouded in morning mist, with a line of trees in the background under a softly glowing dawn sky.

Thankful for the overcast skies today but it was still humid as can be out and I was drenched at the end. Glad to get these miles done even though I am still not sure what the build up of miles will be for yet.

A narrow dirt path descends through tall grassy terrain bordered by lush trees under a cloudy blue sky.

Rainy miles this morning. I am glad I decided to not pull my long run in today and will wait till tomorrow.

Dense green vegetation fills the foreground, leading to a field of tall grasses, with a line of trees in the background under an overcast sky.

After lots of walking and driving yesterday this run was needed I thought. However, my legs didn’t agree.

A dirt path extends forward, surrounded by dense, green foliage, and tall trees in a forested area. The pathway is empty, leading into a bright clearing in the distance.

This was a fun unplanned exploring run today. We ended up on a road I had been meaning to find in Eden Prairie that is now closed for years and also we were around the Ghost town of Hennepin Village.

Dense green foliage and grass thrive under direct sunlight in a woodland clearing, with lush trees framing the scene against a clear blue sky.

A narrow, slightly overgrown path winds through a dense forest with lush green foliage and thick tree canopies, creating a serene, shaded environment.

A metal gate blocks a dirt path surrounded by dense, green forest. A sign reads, “Road/Trail Closed to the Public Pedestrians and Motor Vehicles. Guess I am glad we ran from the bottoms up to this sign as I can say I didn’t know.

Long day but got some miles in before doing some other house projects tonight. I took to some trails and found some hills as well.

A narrow dirt trail winds through thick green foliage, with sunlight filtering through the dense canopy overhead, creating a serene and shaded woodland path.

Really was a nice cool morning for a run. So I decided to get to what the original thought of miles were vs what I was setting as a bare minimum before I went to bed last night as it has been a busy last 36 hrs with the guests at our campsite.

Still water reflects the clear blue sky with some wispy clouds, surrounded by distant greenery along the horizon.

This one took work to get out and want to run today but this the next few days I am thinking I won’t find time. So the plan was just to get some millage in but ended up with what I probably hoped for on these tired legs. I will say I was thankful for a very entertaining podcast and their guests to keep me moving.

Framed by tree branches, a serene golf course with lush green grass stretches out, featuring a small pond and trees in the distance under a clear sky.

Got out early to run this morning to enjoy the cool weather. My legs didn’t enjoy it as much as I did but that is ok I wasn’t in a rush.

Sun sets over a tranquil lake, with orange and yellow hues lighting up the sky, surrounded by silhouetted trees and grassy fields reflecting the colorful twilight.

It was good to get out after work today for a run but maybe eating dinner first wasn’t my best idea.

Trees frame a lush green field with tall grass, while the sun sets, casting a warm glow on the horizon, creating a serene, tranquil atmosphere.

The plan was 6 but ended up with 10 miles this morning. It rained a little but that really didn’t matter I was soaked at the end anyway.

A gravel path extends forward, surrounded by dense green foliage and trees arching overhead, creating a serene, forested tunnel-like environment.

Was hoping there was rain in those clouds on this run this morning but no luck. So just hot and humid again.

A calm lake reflecting a partly cloudy sky is surrounded by lush green grass, tall reeds, and dense forest stretching into the distance.

I think the dewme.app nailed this on this runand matches this pond… “86°F ☀️ Dew pt.: 70°F | RunFeel™: (4/10) stifling 🤢.”  Glad it got the miles in but you could tell when the heat hit me.

A pond sits still, covered in green algae, surrounded by dense, leafy trees under a clear blue sky, with plants in the foreground.

I love that this lake really has a trail all the way around it. A good distance of ~4.3 miles the only real unfortunate part is if you are trying to avoid sun you almost can’t but it is ok I will take the sun to enjoy the view. I guess to nitpick more, a round mile number would be nice.

A still lake lies beneath a clear blue sky, with a distant treeline forming the horizon.

Today was a  run in search of trails to run on and I think I chose a good trail to go ramble on this morning. Felt good enough to complete this run but probably could have been better if I would have gotten better sleep last night. Though glad to get this done as I think we are going to have a real warm one today.

A wooden bridge crosses a small creek, surrounded by lush green forest and tall trees on a slightly overcast day.

A large tree has fallen across a narrow dirt path, surrounded by dense, green forest foliage.

It was actually cool out this morning which felt great. Just wish I could say the same for my body during this run .

Trees stand tall amidst dense green undergrowth, basking in early morning sunlight, within a serene forest clearing. Light mist drifts through, adding a dreamy quality to the scene.

Glad to get moving on this run early today as the day seems pretty busy with meetings. Also, helps to avoid some direct sunlight midday and I got an overcast and calm morning which was nice as well.

Calm lake reflecting the cloudy sky bordered by dense green forest creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

Took to the trails running today to change up my normal paths. Not sure if it was any cooler there but gave me something different to worry about.

A deer stands alert amidst a lush, green forest, surrounded by tall plants and trees, illuminated by dappled sunlight.

Decided to make it a long run morning and head over Ridge Road. It was humid out but I will take the cooler temps since I did a lot more miles than I have for the last month.

A rooftop with a skylight overlooks a tranquil pond bordered by lush, green trees under a partly cloudy sky.
