Here we go again...
After having a couple of my running friends twist my arm I finally signed up for the Twin Cities Marathon again. However, it wasnβt just because of their insistent pushing me to do it but I realized that due to COVID and not having a marathon in 2020, this is the 40th year of the Twin Cities Marathon. I documented how I ran it last year and before that it was 20 years ago. So it should have been the 40th running last year of the Twin Cities Marathon and that would have been even cooler to say I did it when I turned 40. However, that ship has mostly sailed but there is something neat about running both the 20th and 40th Twin Cities Marathon. I might not be as trained as last time as a lot has happened this year but I should be trained enough or at least better than I was at the 20th π.
11 days to go…
Rainy evening run along the water after a full day of in person meetings with the new team. This one felt good and has some speed to it. Must have been the cold rainy weather.

Didnβt go as planned but I am ok with it. Only time to start running was right after a dinner on a full stomach as my family was in town. Got about 3 miles in and my backpack broke. Then it obviously got dark which isnβt fun to run in the dark for so many miles but it is done and close to the plan.
Night sky with lightening in the clouds
Broken strap of hydration backpack
Really a beautiful late afternoon to get out and run along the water. Felt good even though I had no plan in place but a loose route in mind.

After what felt like a strange day of work as my flight was in the middle of it. It felt good to just stretch the legs and put some miles in along the waterfront. ππ»ββοΈ

Starting my new adventure todayβ¦. Should be a good one and more to come. See you soon Portland, ME. π

Glad to get this one in the books and feeling as good as I could. On the other hand random running routes lead to more hills than planned. At least this was done in the morning before the day got crazy!
Closing the door on another chapter in my career. I will miss everyone I worked with over the past 3 years but I am also excited for what is next.

Had to get a late run in tonight as I had a full day in the actual office today. The moon has a yellow glow tonight and the picture doesnβt do it justice. It was still pretty warm out but nicer than yesterday with the sun out and no breeze.

Another brutal day out there today but kept telling myself it was all about getting out there. My route and no rhyme or reason but trying to find some shade. Looking forward to cooler temps this weekend.
I see my friend the heat came back today to make me regret taking yesterday off. At least this path was somewhat shade covered.

It is that time again for another year of school and wow how the kids have changedβ¦ π
Now that everyone is off to school there is a sad doodle again who is waiting for next summer πΆ
Wasnβt even sure I was going to get this run in but glad to get double digits to keep some momentum going forward. Really couldnβt have asked for better weather it was so nice out and hope this weather stays around for a while.

Perfect way to start a cool Sunday morningβ¦ Coffee, bacon and pancakes βοΈπ₯π₯

Finally cooled off tonight so we are sitting by the fire and watching some heat lightening.
Did I mention I like finding trails? π Had to get this one done early today as going to watch my son run his Cross Country meet was next. Felt good after a day of rest but it was still so humid out.

Well the design crew @hemisphericviews have out done themselves for the 2022 Arcadia June awards.π

Such a fun event again this year and I had fun participating. Now that another is added to the collection I need to find a great spot for both of them in my office.
