The snow finally stopped today and even melted by the time I could get out. Maybe I will choose another route than get my feet soaked 😁

Wake up and all of a sudden I missed spring, summer and fall… I guess winter is back 🌨 🤦‍♂️

Two awfully familiar but yet strange delivery workers rang my doorbell and hand delivered a package to me 📦🤔

*This is what happens on a rainy spring break day.*

Feeling it in the legs today after the long one yesterday. However, it was 65°F so I had to get out there after work was done.

I was going to start writing a post and I was looking back at prior years' posts on this blog and it reminded me that I never really finished the blog import process. Technically, I completed it but there are still a bunch of broken links/pictures. 🤦‍♂️

The sad thing is I don’t really care who wins this game but I live close games or games that go into overtime. Also, it is another extended game to watch with my son so… I am game 😁 but tired 🥱

We found out poor Lainey Lou the Doodle has Addison’s Disease. 😓💔 Poor girl started treatment Friday with her first injection and will be closely monitored in the weeks and months to come. Not sure if we are watching her to close but she seems off with the meds. Luckily the vet caught it before it could have been a problem.

Found some time late today to hit the streets and trails. It was great exploring some new areas of Eden Prairie and getting some miles in.

Some double screen basketball action tonight watching the local Eden Prairie Eagles and home state Iowa State Cyclones…. 🏀⛹️‍♂️

Bridge out is a sign I wish was here or that I would have considered my choices a little better. Instead this puddle looked innocent in my quick assessment until it wasn’t as it was well over my ankle when I tried to quick step through it. Made for a wet rest of the run 🤦‍♂️

The adventures today took me running through the Golden Triangle industrial park.

Thankful for the 54°F weather today but that just made everything a wet mess. Ran across these turkeys and quick pulled out my phone to take this photo while running by (look close one is flying up).

Bridge building… I really can’t wait for this to be done as I talked about it to a running buddy back when I took up running again. The road was very narrow with no shoulder. Probably shouldn’t have run on it for all these years and couldn’t get by the barrier today😆.

7th Grade State Champions 🏀⛹️🏆

Wow! All four games over the weekend were down to the wire last second buzzer beater games! The point differential in total was 8 (2,2,3,1 in that order). Proud of their team for not giving up as most of the games we came back from 8-10 points down but they played tough and didn’t give up. I am pretty sure all of us adults aged a bit more after those games.

My wife and I couldn’t attend the final 2 games on Sunday as we were at a Dance Competition for our two girls. A big thanks to to Papa Walker (my Dad) for being our in-person cheer squad while we watched via livestream from the girls’ dance competition. (Apologies to the dancers on stage as our group let out an audible cheer at the buzzer beating victory!!! 🙉)

7th Grade Tier 4 State Champions!

The baller himself, well done son!

Papa Walker and Brecken

He shoots!

Thankful for technology that allowed me to not be in the same place but still follow along

What a great way to end the season and it is sad that the season has now come to an end. It has been fun watching these boys play together. They had a very successful season (28-12) despite all the sicknesses, and injuries. As I was the official / unofficial stat keeper here are some interesting facts.

  • 1st Place in 3 tournaments
  • 2nd Place in 2 tournaments
  • 3rd Place in 1 tournaments
  • 40% shooting percentage vs opponents 35%
  • One tournament they only had 5 kids to play (no subs) and only lost one game
  • Out of the 40 games only two kids were at all of them (one being my son)

Frustrating moment of a Monday… All of these Speedtests are connected to the same modem however, the first and last is the new device provided by our ISP and the second is what I have used for the past year and have had no issues until now. Such a big discrepancy and that device should be able to hold the same speeds 🤔… Maybe time to upgrade the whole thing 😁

I might be watching to much Severance trying to catch up but I really did a double take this morning 😳😆

Brisk one out there again today. Looking forward to the warm weather next week. Glad I got this one done in time to attend the Micro.Camp kickoff 👍

Beautiful yet cold day out due to the wind. The temps said 15°F but feels like 0°… Maybe when I was running into the wind but it sure was sunny which makes all the difference 😎

Quick footwork at times today trying to avoid ice patches made for more of workout both physically and mentally than it should have been.

However it was beautiful out there and much warmer than I thought.

Ended up going longer than planned only to find out I didn’t really bring enough water… Rookie mistake 🤦‍♂️

Spent the morning working off my iPad Pro emailing, connecting with my team, and editing a Word doc. In addition, I had my trusty new iPad Mini to jot down notes and verify things in the doc. Great portable combination right now as I am no where near my desk and enjoying the sunny kitchen.
