2025 Surf the Murph

Well as much as my legs weren’t ready for Surf the Murph it was a really great race and I had a great time out there. I had no expectations as it ended up being my longest run of the year and longest trail run of my life as well. Also, great to catch up with my friend Joeybefore and after. I think he is excited for me to keep taking on more trail runs as we discussed earlier this year on his “Running Behind” podcast.

A serene landscape featuring a calm lake surrounded by autumn foliage, with clear blue skies overhead and reflections on the water’s surface. The foreground includes grasses and reeds.

A serene forest scene featuring tall trees with a mix of green leaves and bare branches, under a clear blue sky. Sunlight filters through the trees, illuminating the forest floor with patches of light and shadow.

Two smiling men pose together at a race finish line, with a banner reading “FINISH” in the background. They are surrounded by trail signs and colorful flags. One man wears a bright yellow shirt and a red cap, while the other is in Joey and I before the race

A hand holds a round wooden slice with a black silhouette of a person surfing, surrounded by leaves and the text “SURF THE MURPH 2025.” The background features wooden surfaces. The finisher medal for all races with the distance on the back. Enjoy how it is a log.
